Greg McDermott and the Creighton men’s basketball program made another recruiting splash on Saturday, securing a commitment from four-star 2026 point guard Katrelle Harmon.
The 6-foot-3 guard is from Seattle, Washington, but attends Wasatch Academy in Mt. Pleasant, Utah. He is ranked 64th nationally in the 247Sports Composite. He announced his commitment on CBS College Basketball’s YouTube channel Saturday night.
“I thought it was just the right fit,” Harmon told CSB Sports’ Adam Finkelstein. “I’m a big point guard, I can facilitate for myself and my teammates and they’ve been recruiting me for a minute, I think, since sophomore year. So it’s just the relationship we made, I trust them, they trust me. So I’m just ready to go there and work.”
Harmon chose the Bluejays over other finalists Alabama, Iowa, Oregon, Rutgers and Washington. He’s a gifted playmaker with good positional size who is also capable of putting pressure on defenses with his pull-up jumper.
In the 12 games logged, Harmon led the EYBL Scholastic League — the toughest prep basketball league in the country — in assists at 6.2 per game. He also averaged 9.1 points on 40% from the field (36% from 3) and 73% from the line on four attempts per game, 3.3 rebounds and 1.5 assists. He played for Vegas Elite on the Nike EYBL circuit this summer.
“You’re getting an all-around player,” said Harmon in his message to Creighton fans. “I feel like I can play defense, I can lock up, I can score. But you’re just going to get someone who brings good energy to the court, and is just a good leader on and off the court.”
Harmon is Creighton’s second 2026 commit, joining Storm Lake (Iowa) wing Jaidyn Coon.
