St. John’s blitzed Creighton men’s basketball over the last 10 minutes of the first half and cruised to a 90-73 win at CHI Health Center Omaha Saturday afternoon.
The Bluejays game-planned to limit points in the paint, and the Red Storm countered by raining 3s — 12 of them on 23 attempts (52.2%). Six different players scored in double figures for St. John’s, while only two did so for Creighton.
Isaac Traudt broke out of his shooting slump to lead the team with 14 points on 4-of-7 from 3 and 2-of-2 from the free-throw line. Blake Harper added 12 points while hitting every shot he took, including five free throws.
The loss dropped Creighton to 4-2 in Big East play and 10-7 overall.
