NebPreps Announces 2026 Basketball Awards Ceremony at Hurrdat Sports Bar La Vista
LA VISTA, Neb. — NebPreps is proud to announce the 2026 NebPreps Basketball Awards, celebrating the top high school basketball athletes and coaches across the state of Nebraska. The awards ceremony will take place March 31st, 2026, at Hurrdat Sports Bar La Vista, with doors opening at 5 p.m. and the event beginning at 6:30 p.m.
The evening will honor Player of the Year recipients for both boys and girls basketball across Nebraska’s six NSAA classifications: D2, D1, C2, C1, B and A. These awards recognize excellence, consistency and impact throughout the 2025-26 high school basketball season.
In addition to Player of the Year honors, NebPreps will also feature a public vote for Coach of the Year (COY) in each classification, giving fans across the state the opportunity to weigh in and support the coaches who shaped the season.
The night will also include the presentation of the Big Game Chain Player of the Year Awards, recognizing the top boys and girls performances Hurrdat Sports covered in person.
“The NebPreps Basketball Awards are about celebrating the athletes, coaches and programs that define high school basketball in Nebraska,” said representatives from NebPreps. “Bringing the event to Hurrdat Sports Bar La Vista allows us to create a high-energy, community-centered night that matches the significance of these honors.”
The 2026 NebPreps Basketball Awards are open to the public, with additional details on finalists, public voting and event programming to be announced in the coming months.
