Providence spoiled senior night for Creighton men’s basketball, handing the Bluejays a 79-76 loss Saturday in the final game of the 2025-26 season at CHI Health Center Omaha.

It was a single-digit game throughout with 13 ties and nine lead changes, and the Bluejays (14-16, 8-11 Big East) had two looks to tie it up in the final nine seconds, but neither fell before the buzzer sounded.

Senior Josh Dix led the Jays with 18 points including four 3-pointers in his final home game while sophomore Austin Swartz matched him with 18 points off the bench. Junior Jasen Green flirted with a triple-double with 12 points, eight assists, seven rebounds and no turnovers. Nik Graves, Creighton’s other senior, chipped in 10 points and six assists.

Creighton had no answer for Providence guard Jaylin Sellers, who went off for 27 points on 11-of-18 shooting, including 5-of-8 from deep.

After the game, Creighton recognized its two senior managers and two senior players.

The Bluejays will close out the regular season at Butler on Wednesday.
