NSAA Boys Basketball District Final Pairings and Projections

Nebraska high school boys basketball sub-district basketball ended on Thursday night for classes C and D. Here are the projected pairings for the district finals, which can be played on Monday (March 3) or Tuesday (March 4). Classes C-1 and C-2 are at the high seed, while Class D has a 180-mile neutral court rule in effect.

Class B Projections

In Class B, the teams are set. But projections get a little difficult with the two remaining games on Friday (2/28) night.

Here is what we know.

Gretna (11-14) at Scottsbluff (22-3) is locked. Norris is locked into the two, win or lose. Wahoo, Omaha Skutt and Douglas County West will be 3, 4, 5 in that order. Skutt owns the tiebreaker over the Falcons.

Pius can pass all the way to the 6-seed if they defeat Norris. Were Pius to lose, Elkhorn North is the six-seed. If Pius and Aurora both lose, Pius is the 7-seed and Aurora the 8-seed. If Aurora and Pius both win the order is Pius (6), Elkhorn North (7), Aurora (8). If Aurora wins and Pius loses the order Elkhorn North (6), Aurora (7), Pius (8).

Gretna East (16-7) is the 9-seed, Crete (20-5) is the 10, Bennington (16-8) is the 11, Platteview (17-8) is the 12.

Northwest can jump to the 13-seed with a win, leaving McCook (16-9) and Mt. Michael (13-10) the 14 and 15 seeds. If Northwest loses, they would be 15 with McCook (13) and Mt. Michael (14).
