Millard West Football Hires McEnaney

Millard West football has found their next football coach.

David McEnaney will lead the Wildcats starting in 2025.

“I’m incredibly excited and honored to have the opportunity to lead the Millard West program,” McEnaney said.

In a statement, Millard West shared that McEnaney brings visionary, relational, and strategic leadership, along with valuable teaching and coaching experience, most recently at Millard North. With strong ties to the Millard West community, he is ready to hit the ground running. The vision and philosophy he shared align with the culture and mission of our school and athletic department, and we can’t wait to support him as he leads the program into the future.

McEnaney comes from Millard North, where he spent the last 13 seasons as a varsity assistant, holding roles at the offensive coordinator, coaching running backs, special teams and strength and conditioning. Before his time at Millard North, he was a varsity assistant from 2006-2010 at Maryville, Missouri.

“We are excited to welcome coach David McEnaney to Millard West as our new head football coach. His passion, energy, and strategic vision aligns with our building and athletic department,” Millard West Athletic Director Lance Smith said. “His knowledge and experience will be an asset to both our football program as well as in the classroom.”
