About Sadie Gray
Sadie has been living and breathing all things media and pop culture since the days of dial-up internet. She flunked out of business school and landed at Iowa Western Community College, where she found her passion in mass media studies. She graduated from IWCC in 2010 with an AAS in Mass Communications, then acquired a bachelor’s degree in Communication Arts from Bellevue University in 2012. She cut her teeth in the radio industry as a student intern at 89.7 The River in 2008 and hasn’t looked back; since then she has worked for Clear Channel and NRG Media. Learning from and working with market leaders has given Sadie a competitive advantage in the world of broadcast media, music, promotions, and marketing.
Behind the mic is Sadie’s favorite place to be, but she’s no stranger to marketing and promotions… she’s helped plan, prep, and execute 20,000 person music festivals; she’s also a pro when it comes to live promotional events – she can engineer and host a live radio remote in her sleep. Her past experience as music director for a market-leading station has given Sadie a chance to see the ins and outs of promotions on both sides of the music industry and has taught her how to effectively use broadcasting and social media to spread your message.
Hailing from the vast cornfields of Iowa, Sadie grew up in a pretty typical midwestern town. She moved to Omaha in 2007 and after eight years of The Good Life, decided to move to Puerto Rico… because why not? (FYI: You never lose your “ope.” Ever.) While in Puerto Rico, and with the help of a couple of amazing trainers, Sadie found fitness in 2016 and fell in love. Five years later, she’s back in Nebraska with her husband and four cats. You can find her playing Nintendo, lifting weights, teaching everyone how to swear in Spanish, perfecting her pan sobao recipe, and sharing her love of food and fitness with her BFF Sausha on Meathead Test Kitchen.
