Union Omaha will make history on Saturday, July 25 when the club hosts FC Juárez Reserve in an international exhibition match at 6 p.m. It’s the first time in team history that Union Omaha will face a Liga MX club, and the first time the club has taken on international competition of any kind.
The match gives the two-time USL League One champions a chance to measure themselves against talent from a top-flight Mexican organization, just one week after the international soccer tournament final wraps up. Tickets are on sale now for the general public.
No Extra Cost for Season Ticket Members
The exhibition is included in Union Omaha season ticket members’ 2026 packages, so STMs won’t pay anything extra to watch Liga MX opposition come to Omaha. Season ticket members can also purchase additional tickets if they want to bring family or friends.
“Our season ticket members are the backbone of this club, and this match is just one example of our commitment to them,” Nick Hall, President of Union Omaha, said. “As we build toward our new home in downtown Omaha, a Union Omaha season ticket will remain the best investment in soccer in our region.”
A New Era for the Club
The match marks a milestone for a club moving into a new chapter in downtown Omaha. Soccer fans across the metro will get the rare chance to watch footballers from a Liga MX organization in their own backyard.
“We’re delighted to host Juárez in Omaha,” Sporting Director Jamie Henderson said. “Opportunities like this are important not only for our players and staff but also for our supporters and the wider soccer community across the region. As our club continues to grow it’s important that we create experiences that connect Omaha to the global game and different footballing cultures in what is an exciting summer for the sport.”
Who Is FC Juárez?
FC Juárez has represented Ciudad Juárez in Liga MX since 2015 in the Liga de Ascenso (second division), winning one championship and finishing as runner up once. Los Bravos most recently finished eighth in the Apertura 2025 with a roster that includes several internationals at both the senior and youth national team levels.
Panamanian winger José Luis Rodríguez has been starting on the left wing for his country in international competition, while Denzell García and Jairo Torres have both earned caps with the Mexican national team. The club’s U-21 side has qualified for six straight playoffs and was runner-up in the Clausura 2025 tournament.
Tickets and ticket packages for the exhibition match are available now to the public.
