No. 1 Nebraska made short work of fourth-seeded Kansas Friday night at the Devaney Center to advance to Sunday’s Regional Final.
The Huskers swept the Wildcats 25-12, 25-11, 25-12 in a match that began at 9:25 p.m. CT in front of a crowd of 8,800.
Rebekah Allick finished with nine kills on nine swings and three blocks while Andi Jackson matched her with nine kills on .600 hitting and five blocks. Bergen Reilly played through illness to set the Huskers to a .450 hitting percentage. Defensive, the Huskers out-blocked the Wildcats 10-1 and held them to a .029 hitting percentage.
The win earns Nebraska a matchup with 3-seed Texas A&M in Sunday afternoon’s regional final, set to start at 2 p.m. on ABC.
